Decision notes

Three trade-offs often missed in early planning

A 25 mm competition-style top may support a tournament brief, while a lighter foldable platform may make shared-hall storage safer and simpler. Neither route is universally superior: rebound target, move frequency, staffing and floor access decide the fit.

Clearance is behavioral

Competitive players need more recovery space than casual users. Define the intended play level before locking the plan; smaller footprints save area but limit movement.

Storage routes create risk

Door thresholds, tight turns and ramps influence table mobility, caster load and staff handling procedures. A heavier stable platform can demand more handling control.

Outdoor means a system

A weather-resistant tabletop does not replace drainage, stable placement, UV exposure and maintenance planning; an indoor surface may offer a different playing response but cannot be assumed suitable for exposure.
